| | "O" zone The 4 critical secrets to easy great nutrition. Nutrition is the process of transferring the lightof the sun to our bodies. Good nutrition is balancedwith the rhythm of earth's cycles, moderation andsocial health. Cravings are natural and usuallyhealthy. Every food has nutritional as well asenergetic qualities. Proper nutrition balances bothvitamin, phytonutrient and energetic needs in asimple harmony that gives life and balance in everysense. Secret #1: Eat your food close to the source: Thesource of all energy in food is the sun. Eat yourfood as close to the source as you can. Thefressher the better. The cleaner the better. Ifyou can get organically grown food, that is best. If that won't fit into your life eat the food asfresh as you can. Fresh carrots from your owngarden are great. Carrots from the producedepartment of your store are good. Frozen or cannedcarrots are less vital and valuable. Secret #2: Cook your vegetables slightly most ofthe time. Raw food will gradually wear down yourdigestive system. Raw fruits and vegetables aretough to digest and require a lot of energy to breakdown. If you steam or lightly cook your vegetablesyou will save your body alot of work. It may damagesome vitamins that naturally occur in food, but willleave your body in better shape to extract the fullmeasure of ivtamins that are left. Secret #3: Eat food that grows in the climate thatyou live, in the season that it grows. Food carriesall the nutrient needed to balance your body withyour environment. If you eat food that grows inyour climate in that season you will be vibrantlyable to live in the climate that you live. But ifyou eat watermelon in Missouri in the winter it willrob your body of the needed tools to tolerate thecold humid conditions that exist in that climate. Ask a local gardener what things grow in yourclimate in that season if you arenot sure. Also, ifno food grows in your climate in the winter, eat thefood that stores well. Grains, meats, beans, carrots, potatoes, squash and onions store well andcan be eaten any time of the year in colder climates. Secret #4: Gratitude is the one spice that letsevery food taste perfect. Food is the primary waywe blend with the variable season, climates andquirks in our environment. Eat each meal with aprayer of gratitude in your heart. How can we eatjunk food that is toxic to our system withgratitude? Gratidude helps improve your choices aswell as helps your body transform the nutrient intovital healthy tissue. Include the Four Secrets of Nutrition and you willfind that most of your problems will slip away. Thekey to change is to always insert positive traitsthat replace negative traits rather than just tryand avoid the bad habits we slip into. Goodnutrition is a vital part of a healthy view of theworld. |
| | Vital Health News Blurbs fromt the world of Science Health Care costs: in our country are projected toexpand to match 53% of our gross national productwithin 18 years. Given our tax burden is around 45%of our income, this will leave you about 2% of yourincome to live on. If you are concerned about this, then choose to make a difference. Alternativemedicine reduces costs over 50% in one study. Italso produced better outcomes and higher patientsatisfaction. Learn to take care of your health, stop managing your diseases and pain. The Problem of Pain:Pain is not a sensation. It is merely aninterpretation of the brain of impulses sent to thebrain by the body. If we seek to stop the pain andnot deal with the cause of the sensation we are justscratching the bear behind the ears. He will likeit until he gets hungry. If you are a painpacifier, you are controlled by your pain. If youreact to the pain in your body and not to the cause, you are accelerating the degree of degeneration yourbody suffers. We have never been good at managingpain without setting up more grave consequences inthe future. Always find and treat the cause andlearn from the pain rather than be held captive to it. Migraine Linked to Risky Heart Health People who live with migraine headaches show a"riskier" profile for cardiovascular disease thanthose without migraines, according to a new studypublished in the February 22nd issue of Neurology, thescientific journal of the American Academy ofNeurology. The large population-based study wasconducted among 5,755 participants in theNetherlands. Researchers identified 620 people withmigraine in the group from 5,135 people withoutmigraine. The study indicates that those with migraine wereconsidered 43 percent more likely to be smokers, though less likely to consume alcohol. People withmigraine with aura symptoms were 43 percent morelikely to have high cholesterol (240 or greater) and76 percent more likely to have high blood pressure. They were also nearly four times as likely to reporta history of either stroke or heart disease beforethe age of 45.Women with migraine were twice as likely to be usingoral contraceptives. Women with migraine were alsomore likely to report a history of high bloodpressure during pregnancy (gestational hypertension)than those without migraine. The findings suggest there may be a sharedpredisposition toward both migraine and heartdisease, said Lenore Launer, PhD, of the NationalInstitute on Aging and the senior author on thestudy. Men with migraine were almost twice as likelyto have a father with a history of early heartattack. Both men and women with migraine overallwere 1.78 times more likely to have a mother with ahistory of early heart attack.By BJS at 02/23/2005 - 06:30 | bioscience & medicine A study published in a 2001 issue of the Journal ofTraditional Chinese Medicine, revealed that patientsgiven acupuncture experienced fewer migraineepisodes, missed fewer days from work, and sufferedno side effects compared to patients on conventionaldrug therapy. They also found acupuncture to be morecost-efficient, estimating a savings of hundreds ofmillions of dollars in private and social healthexpenditures if it were used to treat headachesalone instead of Western drugs. Unemployed women at higher risk for cardiovasculardisease Women who have been fired or laid off from theirjobs face not only emotional distress, but also havea higher risk of cardiovascular disease, researchersreported today at the at the Second InternationalConference on Women, Heart Disease and Stroke. Once again an emotional factor is implicated as a highlycausative factor in severe life threatening physicalillness. The body will follow the mind to joy orpain. Learn the way to control your mind and youcan control your body and thus your health. |
| | Conference Highlights This year we attended and excellent conference that taught powerful insights. Here are just a few. Vioxx alone has killed 56,000 people that would nothave died in the last 6 years. Add Bextra andCelebrex and you have an epidemic or a tragedy. TheTsunami killed over 150,000 and it is a disaster ofnear biblical proportions. So what do we call this? NSAIDS are accused of killing 36,500 people a year. Aspirin is one of them. Why is it we encourageeveryone to take an aspirin a day?Alzheimers can be cut by 78% by taking 500 mg's ofVitamin C and 400 IU's of Vitamin E per day. Youcan cut that another 60% by taking good quality fishoil 3x a week. The popular statin drugs increase your chance ofdeveloping peripheral neuropathy by 4000%. "Science" announced in January of 2004 that farmraised salmon is a carcinogenic. Farm raised salmonis 98% of the salmon consumed in the US.4 billion perscriptions were written last year. That is more than one per month per person. Insulin is the fastest way to age the human body. Eat more sugar and you can age by the minute. Theaverage person has one gallon of blood and just oneteaspoon of sugar in the blood at any given time. One can of Coke has 8 teaspoons of sugar. 85% of people tested were deficient in Vitamin D. The best way to get enough vitamin D is from healthysun exposure. Now to the good stuff:This one is deep, get ready, Stephen Covey statedthat, "Values drive behavior and principles driveconsequences of behavior." "When man found the mirror, he began to lose his soul.""You can live with change as long as deep down youare something that doesn't change.""The worse Mother Nature is the better Human Nature is.""Love is it's own reward.""It is impossible to have fear unless you are focusedon yourself." | |
