When was the last time you looked at life like achild does? I noticed the other day I hesitatedjumping over a fence that was in my chosen path. Ipaused and thought, "Why did I hesitate?" Theanswer was startling to me. It was because I hadn'tdone something like that in twenty years. Twentyyears? Why so long? It was because I had startedto look at things like a person that couldn't orwouldn't jump a fence.

There is no difference between the person who can'tdo something and the person who won't do something,except that the one who can't does not deteriorateas does the person who can and does not. We mustuse our talents or we diminish in power. As wediminish, so does our circle of influence. As ourcircle shrinks, it will hold less and less ofvirtue. We must jettison more and more virtue fromour character to live on the ever-shrinking circlewe create. The saddest part of this act is that thethings we jettison first are usually our greatestvirtues. That leaves us with our fears, angers,doubts, guilt and shame as our lone companions inour aging circle of life.

Do kids ever look at themselves as though they can'tdo anything when they are creatively playing? Canthey be GI Joe? Can they cast a web as well asSpiderman? Can they be as strong as Superman? Whendo we stop believing everything is possible? Why dowe stop believing that we can do anything? Youmight say, "Because we can't do anything."

The reality is anything is possible. Anything! Canyou pick up 400 people and fly them through thenight sky at 500 mph? Of course you can. Everytime a Jet airplane carries its passengers to adestination, the person who first conceived of theidea and then designed the airplane has done justthat. The event of transporting those people allbegan as a thought in their mind. It became realitythrough their work. You could say the same thing ofthe person who helped to build it, or fly it, oreven cleaned it. They are being a superman bycreating the means of flying those people throughthe air. They are just doing it differently than he would. In fact superman can't do it because he isfictional, but you and your dreams are not. Ideascan all grow from the first stages of idea,developed thought, then to desire, then work andfinally into palpable reality.

The same is true of the physical body. We cancreate better health and a better life. If we blendthe same determination, willingness to learn, creativeness, belief in ourselves as divinelycreated beings, we can develop any level of healthwe desire.Rmemeber, health is the ability to comprehendyourself in every aspect of SENSE. Get healthy andget to know yourself.

Add vibrant years to your life?

Do you want to add years to your life, slash medicalexpenses, cut your risk of heart disease, andgenerally improve your quality of life?It is easy! But apparently not easy enough.

Amazingly only three percent of those surveyedfollow even the most basic health guidelines. Threepercent? Only four basic criteria were tested:Exercise regularly, maintain healthy weight, don'tsmoke and, eat well. How hard can those four basicrules be? Apparently too hard.

Come on guy's, how hard can this be? Do we have adeath wish? Do we think that it doesn't apply toourselves? These things aren't that hard. Among the surveyed adults, 76 percent didn't smokeand 40 percent had maintained a healthy weight.However, less than one quarter ate at least fivefruits and vegetables daily, or exercised on aregular basis.Altogether, only three percent of surveyed adultsmaintained all four of these healthy habits. Willyou become one of them?First: Eat 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day. Second: Don't light up. It is destructive to thebody and spirit in every way. Any choice you makethat limits future choices is a bad one.Third: Exercise regularly. Fourth: don't let your weight get out of control.The effort is substantial, but the benefitsincredible. More energy, better moods, greaterstamina, more desire for fun, a better looking body,better social activities and a more profoundapreciation of life. Start today to improve. It is worth it.

One important key to looking younger
    New research says you are really smart!
Chiropractic to prevent aging?New evidence suggests that consistent chiropracticcare may be one of the best anti-aging methods yet. Long-term chiropractic care of two or more yearswas shown to re-establish a normal physiologicalstate independent of age, sex, or nutritionalsupplements. Symptom-free or primary wellnesssubjects under chiropractic care demonstrated highermean serum thiol levels than patients with activedisease, and produced some values that were higherthan normal wellness values.

Stress in the body creates free radicals. Freeradicals are free electrons that create damage togenetic material and tissue in general. It is thecause of aging. Serum thiol levels are a respectedmarker of antioxidant activity. Antioxidants serveto gobble up free radicals. Serum thiols are primary antioxidants, and have beenshown to correlate with lifespan and aging. Want to get younger? Keep getting adjustedregularly. One helpful hint in getting regularcare: most patients intend to come in regularly andaccess the incredible benefits of chiropractic careon their health, which includes staying younger. Ifyou set an appointment beforeyou leave the office you are much more likely tofollow up with your care. If you leave the officewithout setting a follow-up appointment the odds areyou won't remember to come in until you are in painagain, or too late. Treat health not your pain oryour disease!
