What makes a life worth living??

What a great question! Some people love living in cities, some like to live in the country, some by the ocean, and others in the mountains. Some like thick crust pizza and others like thin. The reality is joy and peace in life are not made by circumstances. Quality of life is based solely on principles. What are they? I want to pick one basic topic-unyielding self-honesty. It is a vital aspect of self-love and happiness. An important aspect of self-honesty is to see ourselves as who we are. Who are we? What potential do we bear? What possibility do we have? How powerful are you? Are you more powerful than a virus, than a bacteria? Are you so powerful you can choose not to be angry? Are you powerful enough to be kind in any situation? The answer to all of these questions is yes! So how do you do this?

1. Commitment: The first step is to choose change.
2. Self-Love: Believe you can do it. Have faith in yourself.
3. Study: Learn new ideas and behaviors and pattern to facilitate this behavior.
4. Goals: Visualize the new possibility and write it down.
5. Ingredients: What has to happen for you to accomplish this goal. Each day, hour, and minute there are certain things you need to do to obtain this goal. List the ingredients.
6. Affirmation: Create a statement affirming this accomplished goal. Repeat it daily out loud.
7. Persistence: You can fall down, but failure only occurs when you don't get back up.

Remember, life comes from you, not to you. If you don't create it, it doesn't happen. You will create a life. You can choose to do it by intention or default. What makes life worth living is to live out of passion and intention. Now go do it!

Which Way Is She Turning for You?

If you see this lady turning in clockwise you are using your right brain.
If you see it the other way, you are using left brain.
Some people do see both ways, but most people see it only one way.

See if you can make her go one way and then the other by shifting the brain's current. BOTH DIRECTIONS CAN BE SEEN!

Experimentation has shown that the two different sides, or hemispheres, of the brain are responsible for different manners of thinking. The following illustrates the differences between left-brain and right-brain thinking:

Left Brain---Logical, Sequential, Rational, Analytical, Objective, Looks at Parts

Right Brain--Random, Intuitive, Holistic, Synthesizing, Subjective, Looks at Wholes

Most individuals have a distinct preference for one of these styles of thinking. Some, however, are more whole-brained and equally adept at both modes. In general, schools tend to favor left-brain modes of thinking, while downplaying the right-brain ones. Left-brain scholastic subjects focus on logical thinking, analysis, and accuracy. Right-brained subjects, on the other hand, focus on aesthetics, feeling, and creativity.

The Pill May Block Muscle Gains in Women

--A recent study has shown that women who take oral contraceptives (OC, or birth control pills) may gain less muscle mass when they lift weights than women who are not on the Pill.
--In the study, the groups exercised 3 times a week for 10 weeks. The muscle mass gained in the birth control group was over 60 percent less than that of the non-birth control group!
--Blood tests showed a lower concentration of the anabolic hormone DHEA in the birth control group, which may explain the difference. DHEA is known to help build muscle mass.

7-Year-Old Boy Prescribed Powerful Drug Before Suicide

--Gabriel Myers, a 7-year-old Florida boy who hanged himself, was prescribed a powerful mind-altering drug linked to an increased risk of suicide in children just weeks before his death.
--Myers was under foster care, and in all had been prescribed 4 psychiatric drugs. He was known to be taking two or three of these at the time of his death. The latest drug was approved by a judge over the objection of a court-appointed guardian.
--In 2005, a series of stories were published saying that as many as one out of ever four foster children were prescribed potentially dangerous mind-altering drugs. Florida state lawmakers have approved a law to curb the use of these drugs. However, this disturbing story of Gabriel Myers is making children's advocates question whether the law is being enforced. --
